It’s time to put on pirate costumes and hit the festival. For those who do not know what is this fest all about, well let me enlighten you all. It’s a fest featuring over 500 costumed actors, artisans and musicians. The Northern California Pirate Festival is the largest pirate festival in the United States. Produced by a group of theatrical and outdoor event professionals, this annual fest is equal parts Mardi Gras, state fair, living history, and Peg-legged eye-patch-wearing fan fest that appeals to children and adults alike. With multiple stages of continuous entertainment, rows of nautically inspired handcrafted goods, gourmet foods, micro-brewed beers, and ship to shore cannon battles, visitors might encounter pirates, proper British Naval Officers, alluring mythical mermaids and more. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?
